  • Household trash

  • Office trash

  • Food waste

  • Recyclable items (including paper, plastic, cardboard, and metal)

Contact us and our customer care team can help you with any questions based on your type of waste and local regulations.

What cannot go into my trash?

For safety and the environment there are several items that cannot be included in trash pickup. Hazardous, toxic, radioactive, volatile, corrosive, highly flammable, explosive, biomedical, or infectious waste are never acceptable for a waste container. Examples include:

  1. Construction Debris: Large amounts of construction and demolition waste, including bricks, concrete, drywall, roofing materials, and lumber, are generally not accepted as regular household trash. Separate arrangements may need to be made for their removal.

  2. Appliances and White Goods: Refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, washers, dryers, and other large appliances are often not accepted due to their size, weight, and potential environmental impact. They may require special handling or recycling.

  3. Tires: Waste tires are usually not accepted in regular household trash. They can be recycled separately at designated facilities due to their environmental impact and the resources they contain.

  4. Yard Waste: While policies vary, many residential trash removal companies do not pick up yard waste such as grass clippings, leaves, branches, tree stumps, or other landscaping debris. Often, separate yard waste collection programs or composting options are available.

  5. Medical Waste: Sharps (needles), medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical waste should not be disposed of in regular household trash. Proper procedures, such as drop-off locations or collection programs, should be followed to ensure safe disposal.

  6. Large Furniture and Bulky Items: Items such as mattresses, large furniture pieces, appliances, or other oversized and heavy objects may require special arrangements for disposal or recycling.

  7. Automotive Parts and Fluids: Car batteries, motor oil, transmission fluids, and other automotive fluids or parts generally require separate recycling or disposal at designated facilities.

Contact us if you’re looking for a safe way to dispose of hazardous items like those above.  Many of these items require specialized disposal methods due to their potential to harm human health and the environment.

What if I have a large item?

If you have a bulky item to dispose of, contact our customer care team for a junk removal request. Items such as construction debris, appliances, mattresses, furniture, etc. Please do not overfill your bin or put bulky items on the curb.
